| The ideal candidate must possess an expert level of knowledge in the use of DVCAM, HD, Beta cam, VHS and digital still camera. The individual will provide technical guidance relating to lighting, sound and special effects used in video productions. The candidate must be experienced in the use of non-linear editing software such as Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro. Additional skills in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, and Director are desired to produce multimedia content. The individual will provide technical guidance relating to videography and video editing. Excellent communications skills are must in this position and the candidate will need to interact with clients. Candidate must provide a demo reel during the interview process.
Responsibilities include: - Manage multiple workflows according to stated deadlines
- Integration work within the context of corporate intranet/extranet environments
- Create shot-lists and storyboards using existing script
- Strong capture, edit and encoding fundamentals
- Estimate and manage shoots and crews
- Editing entire process from concept through final deliverable
- Develop the look, feel and design for interactive/motion projects.
- Understand brand and marketing objectives and proactively contribute to the evolution and success of the business
- Participate in concept development and design ideation
- Producing and delivering podcasts
- Producing Flash animation for presentations
- Producing and delivering corporate videos
- Manage audio transcription services
- Create and manage a full stock footage library, fully searchable
Qualifications: - 4-6 years experience in related field
- BA / BS degree preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of pre-production through post-production process
- Knowledge and experience with Panasonic HVX 200 camera
- Professional video editing experience for broadcast and online publishers
- Understanding of video compression and encoding techniques for use online
- Knowledge of the following software/applications: Apple Compressor, Apple DVD Studio Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash YouTube, Brightcove, Maven, Google Video
Demonstrate exceptional skills and capabilities in the following areas: - Competence in the current video media technologies, as well a strong desire for learning
- Integration work within the context of corporate intranet/extranet environments
- Able to handle various video formats: .mov, .avi, Sony mini-dv, Sony beta sp, full DVD
- Advanced knowledge of Final Cut Pro/2 editing platform essential
- Time management / organizational skills: Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast paced, deadline driven business environment on a daily basis
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
