| The Program Manager provides cross functional management in support of Naverus programs. The Program Manager’s primary responsibility will be managing customer contracts – ensuring the delivery of airport procedures regulatory support, and other solutions to our customers at the highest level of quality by the promised date. The Program Manager will also participate in leading company-wide efforts to increase throughput and quality as we scale the operations to meet an increasing customer demand. The Program Manager reports to the Program Management Office Vice President. The Program Manager works across departments to develop a production schedule that optimizes customer satisfaction, revenue, marketing, operational, and other considerations. The Program Manager must excel at working with people of widely varying business and technical experience. Responsibilities include: - Managing all phases of large, complex, enterprise-wide projects resulting in on-schedule delivery of project objectives.
- Discovering and determining business goals and needs; translating them into specifications that are clear and understandable to the implementation teams.
- Balance user requirements, system constraints, and project schedules to define the optimal business solution for Naverus Operations.
- Communicating project plans, schedules, statements of work, costs, timelines, and so forth to all teams, including senior management.
- Managing and monitoring project risks and issues mitigation and resolution.
- Ensuring that adequate resources from every area are identified and committed based on project timing. Following up where commitments are not being adequately resourced, and working on process improvements to address any shortcomings.
- Serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.
- Providing strategic liaison with external partner organizations—public and private.
- Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
- Defining and documenting business processes, workflows, and requirements as they relate to the problems being solved for the customer.
- Providing project management guidance and coaching to staff.
- Defining and communicating system and user requirements, including any points requiring interfaces to third party systems or customer-specific systems, and the accompanying data and format requirements.
- Working closely with agencies responsible for the approval and use of RNP procedures.
- Managing vendor and third party resources, including navigation database and chart providers.
- Managing project closure activities and conducting lessons learned.
- Continually improving project planning and management processes to maximize efficiency of development resources.
- Leading efforts to standardize project management best practices within the PMO and across the Naverus Enterprise.
Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of project management experience on complex, overlapping projects.
- Intimate knowledge of process identification and process improvement techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions in an organization without direct management "authority."
- Outstanding communication abilities, in writing and orally.
- Experience with workflow systems such as Lotus Notes.
- Ability to effectively use project planning tools such as Microsoft Project
- Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
- Uncompromising focus on quality.
- BS degree in an relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
Ideally, the candidate will: - Have experience with engineering design projects.
- Be an instrument-rated pilot having an understanding of Commercial Airline Operations.
- Have familiarity with procedure design and associated governmental regulations.
- Hold a project management professional (PMP) license.
