We are seeking an Aerodata Support Specialist to work in our Kent headquarters. The Aerodata Support Specialist will serve to support design & maintenance of Naverus’ performance-based instrument procedures. This position will reside in the Aerodata Department and report to the Manager of Aerodata Services. Responsibilities include: Aircraft Performance - Support production schedule by determining aircraft performance issues during project scoping/prototype phase
- Support aircraft performance integration with procedure design
- Support quality assurance and data management of performance outputs to procedure design
- Monitor and track performance improvements delivered to Naverus customers
Airport Facilities Management - Serve as liaison to airport facilities management, operator’s airport/airspace personnel
- Obtaining and maintaining relevant airport/airspace infrastructure data
Navigation Data Services - Monitor relevant AIRAC and NOTAM reports
- Support procedure maintenance (maintaining and updating obstacle database)
- Coding and Quality Assurance of Naverus-designed procedures in Navdatabases, including: ~Internal and External Navdatabase testing and management
~Support Navdatabase production submittals & integrity monitoring Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate is able to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of specific tasks while working as an integral part of a dynamic team on larger tasks. This person must be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy. Excellent communication skills are a must.
- Minimum 4-year degree required in Aero-Engineering, Aviation/Airport Management, or Computer Science
- 2-3 years experience in aircraft performance desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong mathematics skills required
- Demonstrated quick learner with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Software skills related to aircraft performance data models preferred
- Dispatch or flight operations experience desirable
- Experience with airline operators and OEM’s highly desirable
