We are seeking an exceptional performer for our Performance Based Navigation (PBN) Sales Team with the responsibility for pioneering new markets, persuasively sell complex products and services, and compel executive level decision makers to buy our unique product. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development. Responsibilities include: - Ability to generate ideas and leads by building and maintaining an extensive network in the aviation industry.
- Develop and maintain detailed capture plans for all accounts
- Successful at developing and executing a harmonized sales strategy, establishing priorities in ambiguous situations, and at driving decisions that may require utilizing internal resources in order to secure potential sales contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a “business solution” for each customer that integrates the PBN products and services.
- Successfully sets business priorities and drives the decisions necessary to launch the pursuits and proposals and see them through successful contract award.
- Be able to conduct analysis to build proposals and recommendations for appropriate pricing and terms of proposals.
- Must demonstrate results-oriented performance through the proven ability to close deals and coordinate internal key resources to secure the contract and deliver quality results within targeted milestone dates.
- Develop a strong partnership with Marketing on potential opportunities and converting them into successful business opportunities.
- Must have the ability to inspire and persuasively communicate ideas, overcome obstacles, sell prospects, and compel key airline executives to purchase our product.
- Secures business through a combination of personal selling techniques all predicated on genuine sensitivity to the customer's specific business needs and focused listening.
- Will be required to work closely with internal stakeholders such as Strategic Development, Marketing, Operations, General Counsel, Finance and other internal teams to identify and secure the company’s sales commitments.
Qualifications: - Aviation experience as a pilot, engineer or role in operations with a commercial airline is highly desired.
- Relocation to the Seattle Headquarters is required.
- Flexible approach to work is essential, as well as a willingness to travel both regionally and internationally when required.
- Excellent communication and people skills required ability to work with a diverse team.
- Embraces a technological challenge and an environment supporting innovation, ideas and creativity.
- Proven success in big ticket complex enterprise sales.
- Invigorated by challenges and always ready to compete in the marketplace with an entrepreneurial mentality.
- Ability to work in an unstructured work environment in a resourceful and independent manner.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- MBA preferred or strong, demonstrated business acumen.
- Experience working effectively in matrix organizations.
- Demonstrated “sales closer” instincts and behaviors.
