As a technical pilot with Alaska Airlines, he led the process of putting some of the world's first RNP procedures into revenue service, developing flight crew training and procedures as well as the navigation data monitoring program. He contributes expertise to industry standards bodies and rule-making committees and has over 10,000 hours of flight experience in more than 20 types of aircraft. Hal holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University and holds a patent for RNP procedure design processes. | | | | | | Jason Dougherty Director, Trajectory Engineering Jason manages the Airworthiness and Aerodata group at Naverus. The group ensures that delivered RNP procedures meet the highest standards of quality and safety and provide the full range of business and technical benefits. The team's breadth of experience, including technical piloting, aircraft performance, FMC database design and flight dispatch, enables it to consistently maximize the value of Naverus RNP to customers. Prior to working at Naverus, Jason co-founded an Internet startup business. He graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and is a private pilot. | | | | | | Steve Fulton Chief Technology Officer Steve is a pioneer in the design of modern navigation procedures. As a technical pilot at Alaska Airlines he helped them develop the first RNP procedure in the World. He was a principal author of RNP criteria contained in Appendix 5 of the FAA’s Advisory Circular 120-29A. Prior to Alaska, Steve was an avionics engineer and development pilot for Honeywell. Steve is a FAA Flight Test Pilot Designated Engineering Representative and earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds two US patents. | | | | David Hathaway Vice President, Business Development David recognizes that evaluation, education and communication, are critical to the successful implementation of modern navigation procedures. With over 10,000 hour as a line pilot David has been involved with policy planning and procedure development for both training and standards. Prior to joining Naverus, David held a senior flight technical pilot position as Manager of Operational Performance and Emerging Technologies for WestJet Airlines. Currently, David holds his two little girls as often as possible. | | | | | | Joshua Kendrick Aircraft Program Pilot Josh uses his extensive experience as a technical pilot to help aircraft operators implement new technology related to RNP. Prior to working at Naverus, he was a Captain and technical pilot at Horizon Air for the CRJ-700 and DHC-8 aircraft. At that airline, Josh developed RNP, Cat II/III, Head-Up Guidance System, FMS, and automation procedures. He is an A320 type-rated pilot and developed the training and crew procedures for the world's first Airbus RNP approval. Josh earned both BS and MS degrees in Aeronautics from the University of North Dakota. | | | | | .jpg) | Ken Kvalheim Director, Design Services Chief Design Engineer Ken leads the team responsible for flight path design and chart production. He is Naverus' Chief Designer, based on the provisions of the Australian Civil and Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Ken has been managing, planning, and designing transportation systems for over 27 years, and is currently responsible for maintaining the requirements and quality control of Naverus' flight path design process. His procedure design experience includes the use of criteria from Naverus, FAA Order 8260.52, PANS-OPS Doc 8168/GNSS RNAV, and TERPS. Ken is a registered Professional Civil Engineer, and earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. | | | | | | Robert Kennedy Director, Regulatory Programs The Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has delegated Robert to conduct RNP flight validations in Australia. He has been lead technical specialist for multiple RNP deployments there and in New Zealand. He was Flying Operations Inspector for the CASA and remains an advisor to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Obstacle Clearance Panel and the ICAO Required Navigation Performance and Special Operational Requirements Study Group (RNPSORSG). Robert is a licensed airplane pilot, flight instructor and examiner; a licensed helicopter pilot; a competition sailplane pilot; and holds an Air Traffic Control License with multiple ratings. | | | | | | Mark Peterson Senior Avionics Consultant Mark’s work at Boeing included 15 years as an avionics engineer for the 737; 8 years training customers in systems and procedures for the 737, 757 and 767; 13 years as Boeing’s representative to the ARINC 424 Navigation Data Base Working Group; and 2 years as a customer engineer. He began his career in the United States Marine Corps where he spent four years as a helicopter pilot. He has a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado and is a licensed Airline Transport Pilot and Commercial Helicopter Pilot. | | | | Paul Siegmund Manager, Aircraft Programs Paul leads the team responsible for assisting with the qualification of new aircraftb types for RNP operations, guiding the technical integration of airplane systems into Naverus programs, and obtaining pilot qualifications for those systems. Paul has over 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry including designing aircraft and guidance and control systems; flight testing tactical and commercial airplanes; and project management and regulatory development of RNP operations.
