Advisory Board

The Naverus Advisory Board consists of industry leaders with broad management experience and in-depth knowledge of airline operations, the aviation regulatory environment, systems technologies, finance, and strategic planning. The Advisory Board meets several times a year to provide insight and advice to Naverus’ senior management team. The Advisory Board is strictly advisory, with no management or governance responsibilities.
						George Bagley George Bagley has a long history in commercial aviation that includes more than 16 years in operating roles at both Alaska and Horizon Air. Six years as Horizon's president and chief executive officer. Bagley retired at the end of 2005 after assuming leadership of Alaska's flight operations, maintenance and ground operations in 2002. Bagley joined Horizon after serving as president of Transwestern Airlines, a Logan, Utah-based regional carrier acquired by Horizon in 1983. While at Alaska George provided leadership and support of the initial RNP procedures developed by Alaska.
						Terry Drayton Terry is the serial entrepreneur behind eight successful start-ups and is currently managing partner at Ramp Technology Group LLC (www.rampgroup.com) in Seattle, WA. He led HomeGrocer.com from its inception to its sale in June of 2000 for $1.1 billion. During that time, Terry and company grew sales from zero to $400 million and raised more than $440 million in capital. Terry started his first company in 1986, three years after completing his MBA degree. In 1999, he won the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Pacific Northwest and now serves on the panel of judges. He is a founding member of University of Washington Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
						David Haapala Presently, David is the publisher and editor of FltTechOnline.  David founded Air Economics Group in 1994 after retiring from Northwest Airlines. He has thirty-three years of experience as a line pilot, instructor pilot, and check pilot on nine different aircraft. At Northwest, Haapala oversaw the introduction of the B-757, A320 and B-747-400 aircraft. David helped drive Northwest’s partnership with the industry to develop the operational concepts and certification philosophy for airline head-up displays, enhanced vision and electronic information management. He is a frequent presenter at airline industry conferences worldwide and received the Aviation Week Laurel in 1994 for his leadership in enhanced vision systems.
						Bill Levings  Bill is Principal of WHLevings, LLC and has over three decades of successful leadership and business experience in start-up, growth, and complex organizational settings.  He has held executive positions in private industry and the federal government.  He has a strong background in business development, development and integration of new products/processes, organizational effectiveness/business process review, international training, and coordination of multiple agency task forces.  Bill earned his BS degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and MS degree in Meteorology from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA.

						Rich Stillman Rich has spent 30 years in executive management, marketing and sales positions in large companies and entrepreneurial settings alike. Prior to founding Upswing, Rich was CEO at Ivey Imaging in Seattle. He was COO and President of Coinstar, helping to double revenue and pioneering Coinstar’s entry into electronic payment services and its “coin to card” initiatives. Prior to Coinstar, Rich was co-founder and VP Sales & Marketing for Originet, and had an 18-year career at several of the world’s top advertising agencies. Rich holds an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a B.S. from Babson College.
						Justin Taylor Justin is a private equity investor in the aerospace field.  He retired from Hexcel Corporation in 2001 after twenty years.  During his Hexcel career he was President of Composite Materials, a manufacturer of adhesions, fabric and pre-preg.  And later was President of Hexcel’s Structure and Interiors business, a $250 million per year business.  He was responsible for the establishment of two joint ventures in Asia, one in Malaysia and one in China with Boeing and local investors.  He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho, MS in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State and MBS from the University of Washington.
