| Air New Zealand is an international and domestic airline group which provides air passenger and cargo transport services within New Zealand, as well as to and from Australia, the South West Pacific, Asia, North America and the United Kingdom.
Naverus has developed Tailored RNP procedures for Air New Zealand's Boeing 737-300 operations into Queenstown, New Zealand. Traditional approach procedures at this terrain- challenged airport had high DAs (3,729 feet above airport elevation) which when combined with sometimes poor weather resulted in numerous diversions and flight cancellations. Contigencies for engine failure also hampered traditional departures. Because of these difficulties Air New Zealand experience approximately 36 days worth of disruptions per year at Queenstown. In addition to procedure design Naverus provided advice on aircraft equipment upgrades to make their 737-300s RNP capable.
More recently Naverus has designed Queenstown Tailored RNP procedures for Air New Zealand's Airbus A320 fleet. |
